Why Poush exists
Good architecture and strategy work depends on senior judgement, and senior judgement is expensive. Too much of it goes on reading, collecting and mapping before any real thinking can start.
Poush Digital was founded in 2022 to change that balance. AI agents do the reading, mapping and drafting. The time that frees up goes into what clients actually pay a senior consultant for: understanding their business, weighing options and making a clear recommendation.
Shahram Pourmakhdomi, founder
Shahram is a consultant and tech strategist with more than 20 years in enterprise architecture and digitisation. He has worked in energy, healthcare, public transport, and logistics and shipping, helping organisations understand their systems, decide where to invest and plan the change.
When you work with Poush Digital, you work with Shahram directly. He leads every engagement and reviews every deliverable.
Career highlights
Energy, 2022 to today (Poush Digital). Domain architect for energy markets at a major energy company in Sweden. Leads the architecture of the domain’s applications against business and regulatory requirements, keeps the architecture standards current, and helped the IT leadership team develop its strategic roadmap, including workshops to align employees with the strategy.
Shipping and logistics, 2012 to 2022. Lead enterprise architect at group level in a large Nordic shipping and logistics group: led the enterprise architecture function, set a common structure for how the group’s systems evolve, and ran a community of architects, technical leads and security specialists. Before that, designed the cloud integration and data architecture for the group’s new logistics business, which the group’s later cloud integration and data solutions were built on. Earlier assignments in the sector: advisor to a ferry operator’s chief enterprise architect while it set up its architecture function, the integration strategy and service-oriented integration foundation for a major Nordic port, and the baseline and target architecture for a central service for a global logistics company’s sorting facilities.
Healthcare, 2005 to 2019. Six years in charge of group-level integration services, covering Europe, at a large private healthcare group: integration strategy, building the service organisation and running the technical platforms. Then, as a consultant, advisor to the group’s CIO when it set up an integration competency center, lead integration architect connecting patient record and financial systems, and lead solutions architect for a patient-facing platform. That platform let patients handle their own tasks in a mobile app, reducing administration for healthcare staff, and connected national e-health services, BankID and the Swedish population register.
Public transport, 2012 to 2017. Five years of assignments for a regional public transport authority. Mentored its chief architect while the enterprise architecture function was set up, and led the management pre-study that became that function’s baseline. Led an architecture study for a major business transformation using TOGAF and risk- and cost-driven architecture. Designed a capability-based target architecture and roadmap for joining scheduled and on-demand services, which the organisation then used to make the change. For a national transport agency, developed the guidelines for integrations between systems in different security zones.
Consulting leadership, 2011 to 2020. Director of consulting services at a global IT consultancy, responsible for a group of more than 15 consultants, its budget, recruitment and client work, while continuing to work as architect, coach and advisor. Earlier, senior consulting roles at the same consultancy and at a Swedish consultancy.
Where it started, 1997 to 2005. Software engineering for industrial automation, then five years as an IT consultant in e-commerce and enterprise application integration. Integration has been a thread through the whole career since.
